Privacy Policy
We collect the minimum data needed to serve you. This page explains what MariMetric collects, how we use it, and how we protect it.

What we collect
- Container numbers (input on query, sent to carrier APIs for live data)
- IP address (for the 5-queries-per-day free tier rate limit and anti-abuse)
- Email address (only if you subscribe to updates or incident notifications)
- Aggregate page-view statistics (anonymized by Cloudflare, no third-party analytics)
What we do NOT collect
- No name, phone, address, or other PII
- No third-party advertising, no Google Analytics, no Meta Pixel
- We do not sell or share user data with data brokers
- No tracking cookies in your browser (functional session cookies only)
Data storage and retention
Query records: not stored (discarded after response). Subscribe email: kept until you unsubscribe. Monitored containers (paid plans): kept until you delete them.
Data sharing
We share data only when: (1) you actively query a container — the number is sent to the relevant carrier's API. (2) A legally required law-enforcement request. Otherwise, data never leaves MariMetric.
Your rights (GDPR)
- Right of access: you can request all data we hold about you
- Right to erasure: you can request deletion of your data (email / monitored containers)
- Right to portability: you can request a JSON export of your data
- Right to object: you can object to any new use of your data
Cookies
MariMetric uses only functional cookies (language preference, query history in localStorage). No tracking cookies. Free tier rate limiting is IP-based and requires no cookies.
